Harry C. Walters is an American weirdo / artist / musician. A long time collaborator and studio tenant at Andenken Gallery, Harry has made brilliant contributions to many group exhibitions, including some amazing work for the 4th annual Kinetic Sculpture and Robot show in 2006.
His concept 'balloon' paintings are a 2 dimensional counterpart to some amazing kinetic balloon sculptures he made during that period.
His pinprick frescos and his pull away layer paintings are conceptually and aesthetically grand.
This 'balloon' painting piece is made from a torn rainbow of scraps from balloons. The piece is from a show called 'Special Materials', a group show at the Andenken Gallery at the Market Street location in 2007.
